Apple is Forced to Rely on Samsung for iPad Mini Displays

I’m sure we’ve all had fallouts with our friends or family members then be forced to turn right around and go them for something we really needed. It seems the same can be said for Apple and Samsung. At some point during Apple’s litigation with Samsung, Apple withdrew their orders for displays from Samsung in an attempt to disrupt their bottom line profits.

However, a story has surfaced over at ET News that claims Apple has gone to Samsung as its main supplier for iPad Mini displays. Previously, Apple opted to go with AU Optronics and LG Display. However, Samsung will be taking over production from Sharp, leaving LG Display as the other major supplier of Retina mini displays.

Interestingly enough, Apple executives think that Samsung has “poorly made objects”, yet they go to Samsung for their “poorly made objects.” What’s up with that?
