Sony’s latest flagship device, the Sony Xperia Z3, features an assortment of features that’s sure to please everyone who may be interested in the phone. Even though the Sony Xperia Z3 has a 5.2″ Full HD display, a 20.7 MP camera and weighs in at just 152 grams, it also features a Waterproof and dust tight design (IP65 and IP68) that allowed for the best unboxing we’ve ever seen for any device.
Since IP68 qualifications means that the Sony Xperia Z3 can be kept under 1.5 m of fresh water for up to 30 minutes, Carphone Warehouse hit the diving board to deliver the first underwater unboxing ever and it’s nothing short of amazing.
We could sit here and talk about the Sony Xperia Z3 underwater unboxing all day but we’ll just let you have a look yourself since seeing is believing:
The Sony Xperia Z3 isn’t available in the United States yet. A few days ago, Sony sent out invitations to an event that is expected to either give more details about a US release or to launch a new device altogether. The event is to be held on October 9th in New York City. Sony’s previous effort has caused them a projected loss of $2.1 billion for the fiscal year that ends March 31, 2015.
Despite Sony’s high-end Android phones, their previous efforts have been overshadowed by the lack of a substantial release here in the United States. Sony will have to bet their latest Xperia phones and tablets to pick up the pace for their mobile division.
So far, T-Mobile has confirmed that they would be selling the Sony Xperia Z3 with Sprint reportedly considering the device as well. However, for the Japanese to pick up steam here in the United States, Sony will have t get the Sony Xperia Z3 on AT&T and Verizon since they are the 2 largest wireless carriers in the United States.
